FIRST GRADE FIELD TRIPS:
Money Matters: This literature-based lesson will help children understand the concepts of goods, services, needs, wants and the importance of saving. Students will put together their own "save and spend" banks and have time to explore the Museum’s “Cash Flow” exhibit.
Make it Move!: Students will investigate the world of motion as they balance shapes, make spinning tops and figure out how to make things roll. Science and math couldn’t be more fun!
Under the Sea: This trip is packed with fun and exploration! Students will discover how solids and liquids interact with water by building a mini ocean in a bottle and by performing hands-on experiments with a variety of solids and liquids. Students will also be introduced to the causes and consequences of pollution in our oceans.
