Run the runway WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

1K Fun Run + 5K

Thanks to everyone who came out to Shenandoah Valley Airport for a family-friendly event, featuring a 1K Fun Run (children ages 3 - 12) at 2 PM, followed by a chip-timed 5K on the taxiway and runway (open to all ages) at 2:30 PM. This unique race opportunity was a perfect fit for runners, walkers and families at all fitness levels.

All proceeds benefit the Explore More Discovery Museum's aviation exhibit where children will learn about the many aspects of aviation including hands-on experience as a pilot, aircraft mechanic, air traffic controller and passenger.

Special thanks to Magnum Opus Fitness and Wellness Coaching for training many of our runners for the big day and for getting our energetic kids warmed up for the Fun Run.
