1K Fun Run + 5K

Join us for Run the Runway at Shenandoah Valley Airport in Weyers Cave. The family-friendly Sunday event begins with a 1K Fun Run (children ages 3 - 12) at 2 PM, followed by a chip-timed 5K on the taxiway and runway (open to all ages) at 2:30 PM. This unique race opportunity is a perfect fit for runners, walkers and families at all fitness levels. The course is handicap accessible and well-suited for those pushing young children in strollers.

All proceeds benefit the Explore More Discovery Museum's aviation exhibit where children will learn about the many aspects of aviation including hands-on experience as a pilot, aircraft mechanic, air traffic controller and passenger. By supporting this event through sponsorship or registration, you will assist the museum to fulfill their mission of providing high-quality, experiential learning opportunities for all children!

Returning this year! Magnum Opus Fitness and Wellness Coaching is offering a FREE 8-week training program beginning on July 21 for runners of all levels. From novice to experienced racer, Nelle Fox and her team are ready to help you reach your goals. Most workouts will be done independently with optional in-person sessions on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Please indicate your interest on the registration page!
