INTERNSHIPS

Maker City Intern - A Makerspace for YOUTH 8+

Maker City Interns will have an opportunity to work in the museum makerspace designed for youth ages 8+. Applicants should have prior experience in one or more of the following skill areas: laser cutting, vinyl cutting, graphic design, sewing and fabric arts, fine arts, woodworking, web design, videography and photo editing. Applicants should also enjoy working with children in the target age group and work well in a collaborative environment. 


Nonprofit Studies Intern

The Explore More Discovery Museum is offering an exciting internship opportunity for students majoring or minoring in Nonprofit Studies. This paid internship provides a unique hands-on experience in various aspects of nonprofit management, including guest services, program assistance, special events, development, and administration. This internship is a great opportunity for students looking to gain practical experience while contributing to a vibrant community resource. PROGRAM INTERN

Interns work within the museum’s Education Department as program assistants, facilitating gallery exploration conducting public programming for family audiences and groups. Students will gain practical experience teaching in an informal education setting while also learning operating procedures and best practices required to run a successful children’s museum.
