Music Explorers WORKSHOP (AGES 5 - 8) - LIMITED SPACES

MUSIC EXPLORERS, a program of the Shenandoah Valley Children's Choir, is providing a one time session on Saturday, September 21, 3:00 pm at the Explore More Discovery Museum. Children, ages 5-8 are invited to participate in this highly acclaimed Kodály-centered approach to teaching music. Your child will enjoy learning the fundamentals of music while moving, singing, playing games, improvising and playing instruments. Instruction is engaging, fun and child-friendly.
This is a FREE event.
Instructor:
Maggie Hagy currently teaches pre-K-5 music at Keister Elementary School. Previously, Mrs. Hagy was a high school choral director in Loudoun County, and a soloist and choral singer with the northern Virginia-based VOCES chamber music ensemble. Mrs. Hagy holds a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University and has completed levels I and II of her Kodaly Certification. In 2018, she was a presenter at the Virginia Music Educator Conference, and in 2017 was the awarded JMU's Young Music Educator Award.
